About Us

We're Dylan and Keara. We built a coffee company so we'd have an excuse to camp more.

Look, we could tell you this started with a grand vision and a five-year plan. It didn't. It started with one badly-planned camping trip, zero equipment, and a fire that took way too long to cooperate. We made coffee the old-fashioned way that morning because we had no other choice, and somewhere between the smoke in our eyes and the first sip, we realized: this is the good stuff. Not the coffee necessarily — the whole mess of it. The dirt, the fire, the "wait, did we bring a spoon," the sunrise nobody photographed because everyone was too busy actually being there.

Dylan spent time in the Marine Corps before figuring out he was better at selling things than yelling at them, which — lucky for you — is why this coffee exists instead of just being a personal habit. Keara has a biology degree and once ran a traveling reptile show, so if you ever want to know exactly why a lizard does what it does, she's your person. Neither of those facts has anything to do with coffee. Both of them have everything to do with why we don't do things the boring, expected way.

We're not a "military coffee company." We're not trying to sell you tactical anything. We're just two people (and, depending on the day, a very opinionated dog) who happen to love the outdoors, hate bad coffee, and got tired of choosing between the two. So we roast our own, small-batch, named after the mornings and trails that actually earned it.
